AIM

Thanks to its entirely machined and very robust rails (+/- 1 mm tolerance on 80 meters!) this machine runs incredibly smooth to secure no vibrations are transmitted to the profiles during extrusion. It gently and firmly pulls the profiles on its entire extrusion length.

ADVANTAGES

This unit runs incredibly smooth and is engineered to prevent any vibrations hand-off generated scrap. Thanks to its very develped design, it works as a puller and as a hot saw in a "tandem way" with either a Turla flying cut single puller or with a Turla flying cut double puller.

The puller clamp device is engineered to secure best possible hold over extrusions at all time thanks to a multi-finger “self-locking” type where fingers move independently to adapt to the profiles.The operator sets the pulling force on the main control panel. At the end of the extrusion, after the hot profiles are cut, the puller eventually positions the profile in line with the stretcher head, releases the profile and then clears away in order to get clear of the profile, then the puller returns either to the profiles cutting position or to the press because a new die has been loaded in the press and production of a new profile is to be run.

Working Cycle general description

  • 1 The puller starts the extrusion.
  • 2 The press stops the extrusion process and loads a new billet.
  • 3In the meantime the mobile saw or shear cuts the profile.
  • 4 The puller lines up the profile with the stretcher headstock and goes back to the hot saw or shear.
  • 5 The puller once returned to the head of the new extrusion closes the clamps and starts extruding.
